5 arrested during probation, parole sweep

POINSETT COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Multiple arrests were made in Poinsett County during recent probation and parole searches.

Sheriff Kevin Molder stated in a Tuesday news release that five people were arrested following the operation on May 11. Officers with the Arkansas Community Correction's Department aided in the search for illegal drugs.

The arrests were made at three locations: 4110 Old Military Ln. in Harrisburg, 111 W. Hamilton St. in Harrisburg, and 402 Parker St. in Waldenburg. In addition to finding drugs and drug paraphernalia at most of these locations, the sheriff said a firearm was found at the Waldenburg residence.

The suspects, their charges, and bonds are as follows:

  • Tony Greer, 48, of Harrisburg-possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (meth), endangering the welfare of a minor first-degree, and unlawful use of a communications device. Judge Ron Hunter set a $100,000 bond.
  • Billie Bass, 29, of Harrisburg-possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (meth), endangering the welfare of a minor first-degree, and unlawful use of a communications device. Judge Ron Hunter set a $75,000 bond.
  • Angela Scott, 37, of Harrisburg-possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (meth) and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Judge Ron Hunter set a $10,000 bond.
  • Gregory McKellar, 49, of Harrisburg-possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Judge Ron Hunter set a $25,000 bond.
  • George Wesley Siddons, 59, of Waldenburg-possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a firearm by certain persons, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Molder noted this is the second time Siddons was arrested within two months.
