JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A 19-year-old Jonesboro man with a history of weapons arrests faces new charges breaking into vehicles and stealing guns.
Jodarrius Mikel Dority is being held on a $100,000 cash/surety bond accused of ten counts of breaking or entering-articles from a vehicle, six counts of theft of a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm by certain persons.
The alleged break-ins, according to court documents, happened on or around the first of May.
"Dority admits to being present when the cars were entered and the guns were taken," the affidavit stated. "He stated he was with two other people, and one of them took all the guns home with him to sell for money."
The affidavit further stated that Dority is "on felony probation for similar charges."
Last June a judge sentenced Dority to 36 months probation after he entered a negotiated plea of guilty for his part in the Turtle Creek Pawn Shop burglary in which 60 firearms were stolen.
Since then, according to online court records, Dority has been arrested numerous times on firearms charges, including possession by certain persons, theft by receiving and carrying a weapon.
