IZARD COUNTY, AR (KAIT/BAXTER BULLETIN) - Izard County authorities are looking for a man accused of three counts of rape and one count of residential burglary.
According to a report from the Baxter Bulletin, Becky Vacco with the Arkansas State Police's Crimes Against Children Division spoke to the first alleged victim in July 2016.
The Baxter Bulletin reported that the victim told Vacco that when she was approximately 4 or 5 years old, she woke up to George B. Tunnicliff, 53, of Dolph on top of her.
The victim, who is now an adult, said Tunnicliff touched her inappropriately even though she told him to stop, the report said.
The second alleged victim, interviewed in July 2017, said Tunnicliff sexually abused her over a three year period.
On May 12, 2018, a girl told Izard County sheriff deputies she was awoken by Tunnicliff touching her leg, according to the Baxter Bulletin's report.
The girl told authorities she grabbed a bat and followed Tunnicliff down the hallway and eventually outside the home where she hit him in the head.
The girl's mother called 911 and told the dispatcher Tunnicliff was hit the home and had been hit in the head with a bat.
Tunnicliff reportedly sat on the steps of the home bleeding. At one point, he got up and climbed into the woman's truck.
By the time deputies arrived, Tunnicliff had fled the scene.
