MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Several years and a significant Arkansas Supreme Court ruling later, a lawsuit between Mississippi County and Blytheville over jail fees has been settled.

The dispute over how much the city owed the county for jail fees ended with a $900,000 bill.

Earlier this month, the city wrote a $350,000 check as a good faith payment while the final number was still under discussion.

Mayor James Sanders said the city paid the final $550,000 to the county on Monday.
