PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - It will the third time in as many election cycles this November that Republican Rusty McMillon and Democrat Jerry Shipman will vie for the Greene County Judge's race.

In unofficial numbers, McMillon won the Republican nomination Tuesday defeating Terry Gene Rogers 3,031 to 708 (81 to 19%).

Shipman, who also served as county judge from 1981-1990, 1997-2000 and was county judge when McMillon defeated him in 2014, was unopposed for the Democratic nomination.

McMillon won that race by a 73-27% margin and defeated Shipman in a rematch two years later by a 79-21% margin.

The winner of the race will serve a four-year term and will be up for re-election in 2022.
