BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A traffic stop on Memorial Day weekend has a Baxter County man facing several charges, including a probation violation, after authorities reportedly found meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia during the stop.

Christopher John Jenkins of Gassville was arrested May 27 after a traffic stop in the Henderson Park Campground, according to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery.

Montgomery said a deputy saw a blue Dodge Dakota pickup truck driving in an erratic manner and pulled over Jenkins.

The search uncovered nearly two grams of meth, nearly 14 grams of marijuana, pipes, bongs, straws, and portions of marijuana cigarettes, Montgomery said.

Jenkins was arrested on suspicion of probation violation, possession of a controlled substance-meth-felony, possession of a controlled substance-marijuana-misdemeanor, and felony and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

A $5,000 bond was set for Jenkins, who will be arraigned June 21 in circuit court.
