JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A sex offender convicted for several sex-related crimes in Florida has been arrested for failing to register in Jonesboro.

According to a probable cause affidavit, officers discovered Timothy Shane Wilson, a level 2 sex offender, was not staying at his registered address. The home verification check happened on May 18 at a home on North Bridge Street.

Sex Offender Registration Specialist Natasha Kaja contacted the property owner who said the home was vacant and had not been rented for several months.

According to the court document, Wilson registered his address in Aug. 2017 and verified the address in Dec. 2017.

A judge on Tuesday found probable cause to charge Wilson with failure to register. The judge set his bond at $10,000 cash surety.

According to online records, Wilson was convicted twice in Florida.

In 2011, he was convicted of lewd, lascivious battery; sex with a victim between 12 and 15 years old.

In 2005, he was convicted of lascivious battery; sex with a victim less than 16 years old.
