JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police arrested a woman Sunday after they say she forged a prescription for narcotics.
Craighead County District Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause Monday to charge Shaquanna Toney, 19, of Chicago, with second-degree forgery.
Sgt. Chris Poe stated in the affidavit that Toney presented a prescription for promethazine/codeine at the Kroger Pharmacy, 1725 S. Caraway. However, when the pharmacy workers contacted the prescribing physician, they learned the prescription was forged.
Toney is currently free on a $2,000 bond awaiting a July 27 appearance in circuit court.
