(RNN) - On Monday at WWDC 2018, Apple gave the keynote address and announced that its popular video chat application, FaceTime, will be able to host more than its usual 1 on 1 conversations at a time.

With the new iOS 12 update, set to be available for download by Fall 2018, users will be able to have FaceTime sessions that can include up to 32 people.

FaceTime will be integrated into messages, so that users can easily transition a group chat into a group video call, reports say.

Group FaceTime will be supported across iOS and macOS.

Apple also announced the Animoji, update and the development of Memoji which is the cartoon version of the user’s actual facial appearance- and can be used during group calls instead of using the real-time view of your face during calls.

With the iOS 12 update, users can also take group iMessages, and turn them into FaceTime messages instead. Users will also be able to drop in and out of the group FaceTime sessions as they choose.

For sports fans, or people who engage in NFL mock drafts or fantasy football selections, this update may be especially convenient and game-changing.

Other features for the new iOS 12 include: A screen time feature, that tells users how much time they are spending on their devices; A measure app, that allows users to use their phone as a mobile or digital measuring tape; iBooks will be re-branded into Apple Books, and many more features and updates will be available within the new iOS 12.
