Huge flash flooding hits Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOCO/CNN) - A powerful storm brought massive flash flooding across the Oklahoma City area on Thursday.

Up to three inches of rain fell in a short period, and the storm was expected to continue to pound the region.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood emergency for parts of the Oklahoma state, including the Oklahoma City metro area.

The service says life threatening flash flooding is likely.
