KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - A Southeast Missouri man faces a robbery charge after he reportedly went to a person's home with a knife and pushed the person to the floor.
According to a post on the Kennett Police Department Facebook page, Cedric Burton of Kennett was arrested June 5 on suspicion of first-degree robbery after police got a call about the incident.
Officers went to a home in the 400-block of Beaton Street around 11:10 a.m. June 5 after getting a call about the robbery.
Police believe Burton went into the victim's home with a knife, pushed them to the floor and stole their wallet before leaving on foot.
Burton was being held in the Dunklin County Justice Center, pending the filing of formal charges by the local prosecutor, the post noted.
