BENTON, AR (KAIT) - Central Arkansas police arrested a woman they said injected herself with methamphetamine before giving birth.
According to a news release by the Benton Police Department, detectives responded to Saline County Memorial Hospital after a baby died after a six-month pregnancy.
Officers believe Angela Miller, 23, injected herself at a motel before giving birth.
The baby was alive for a short time before dying.
She faces introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person and murder in the second degree.
The Saline County Sheriff's Department says deputies booked Miller in jail Thursday before 2 p.m.
The online inmate roster doesn't list a bond for her.
