Jonesboro police unit involved in crash, 3 taken to hospital

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Three people, including a Jonesboro police officer, were taken to the hospital after a crash Friday.

The crash involving a JPD unit happened at the intersection of Washington Ave. and Carson St. around 11:15 a.m.

According to Jonesboro Police Chief Rick Elliot, Anna Jett was driving an SUV on Carson Street when she ran the stop sign.

She crashed into the driver's side of Sgt. Brad Rossman's police cruiser.

Elliot said Rossman was taken to St. Bernards Medical Center by ambulance to be treated for minor injuries. He was released Friday afternoon.

Jett and a passenger in her vehicle were also taken to the hospital to be treated. Elliot could not give an update on their injuries or conditions.
