BALD KNOB, AR (KAIT/KARK) - An area school district is planning to increase its security measures this fall, including allowing unidentified district personnel to serve as security.
According to a report from Little Rock television station KARK, the employees will also be carrying concealed weapons if an emergency happens.
Local police have also worked with school employees to provide the training.
The staff members will have to have 60 hours of training before they can carry concealed weapons on campus.
The district also plans to add several other security measures. They include cameras with audio at the school's main exterior entrances, as well as requiring visitors to wear printed ID badges on campus.
Also, the district's elementary and middle schools will see increased security measures.
