JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police arrested a Jonesboro woman accused of beating another woman while her friend recorded the alleged assault and shared it on social media.

Alexiuse Cierra Walters, 20, appeared Tuesday before Craighead County District Judge David Boling on a bench warrant where probable cause had been found to charge her with third-degree battery and residential burglary.

According to the court documents, the allegations stem from an April 29 incident in the 300-block of State Street.

The victim, who had just been beaten up, told officers her roommate had left the apartment, leaving the door unlocked, while she was in another room.

The victim said she found Walters in the living room and tried to push her out.

“Walters pushed her way back in and attacked the victim, pulling her by her hair outside,” the probable cause affidavit stated. “The incident was recorded by a female accompanying Ms. Walters and posted to Facebook.”

Investigators said the video showed Walters pushing the door open and grabbing the victim by her hair while hitting her.

Walters is being held in the Craighead County Detention Center on a $7,000 cash/surety bond awaiting her first appearance in circuit court on July 27.
