Man charged in shooting of 14-year-old in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, MS (WLBT) -

One person has been arrested in the shooting of a 14-year-old in Vicksburg.

22-year-old Austin Marshall Terrell was charged with attempted murder and appeared before a Warren Co. judge Thursday morning. He was given no bond. 

On Wednesday, Vicksburg police responded to a call about a shooting of a 14-year-old boy.

According to Chief Milton Moore, with the Vicksburg Police Department, the shooting happened around 9:00 a.m. The victim was shot multiple times and was transported to UMMC. 

Chief Moore says they are still actively investigating. 

Terrell was transported to the Warren County Jail. He will be bound over to the next Grand Jury.
