MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Two people in Mississippi County were arrested last week after violating probation.

Terry Palmer, 29, and Houston Coffer, 30, were charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possessing an instrument of a crime, and two counts of endangering a minor on June 18.

The Mississippi County Sheriff's Office made the arrests after a check of Palmer's residence at West County Road 524 south of Manila.

While at the home, deputies found a loaded Remington .243 rifle on the kitchen table and drug paraphernalia throughout the house. The sheriff's office also stated that deputies found a "large amount of aluminum sheathing, which is commonly used to cover copper wire that is used on irrigation pivots."

Coffer's two young children were living in the home at the time of the arrest.

The Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline was contacted for the children.

Both Coffer and Palmer are being held on a $30,000 bond each.
