BONO, AR (KAIT) - According to Arkansas State Police, a Missouri man and a Trumann man were killed Thursday in a fiery head-on collision on Highway 63, north of Bono.

Authorities said a red 4x4 Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven by Jerod McHenry-Justice of Warrensburg, Mo. was going south on Highway 63 around 2:50 p.m. when the truck crossed the center line and struck a white Ford work truck, driven by Terry Greer of Trumann, hauling a grain trailer.

The white truck was going north on Highway 63 in the far slow lane, authorities said.

Both McHenry-Justice and Greer were killed in the crash, according to ASP.

Jeff Presley, director of Jonesboro and Craighead County E-911, told Region 8 News Thursday afternoon that the crash involved a dump truck and a pickup truck.

One of the vehicles did catch fire, he said.

He did say they had originally received a report of entrapment and serious injuries.

The crash occurred near Craighead County Road 159 and Pauls Switch Road. Both lanes of traffic were shut down due to the crash.

Arkansas State Police, along with officers from the Bono Police and Fire Departments, Jonesboro Fire Department, Craighead County Sheriff's Office, and ArDOT were at the scene of the crash.

All northbound Hwy. 63 traffic had to be rerouted onto Hwy. 230 as crews worked to clear the scene.
