New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis returned to his roots at Brandon High School to host a football camp for kids in the area.
He's been on display recently for helping out immigrant families at the Texas boarder.
"Just looking up at those pictures of kids sleeping on the floor and being separated from family... I think that would touch any human being," Davis said. "You can't imagine kids going through that, so a friend of mine decided that we wanted to do something about it so we went down there and just wanted to help out."
Davis and his friend, Josh Norman, did their part by traveling to San Antonio and creating care packages to deliver to the families.
Davis said he doesn't feel like he changed these families lives, but that changing this moment in their life made it worth it.
"They don't even know who we are or know anything about us," Davis said. "They don't even speak the same language as us, but they can just embrace us with a hug. It shows you that as human beings we speak the same language no matter where we are."
