BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) - A stop light in Downtown Batesville will soon be removed and replaced with stop signs.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation recently completed a traffic study at the intersection of Boswell and Broad Streets, according to a post on the Batesville Police Department's Facebook page.
The study found that the light could be removed.
Right now, the light is still up but is flashing red for Broad Street traffic to stop and yield to cross traffic before driving through.
The light is flashing yellow for traffic on Boswell Street to continue through the light, with caution.
Once the stop light is removed, Boswell Street will have through traffic and Broad Street traffic will be required to stop at the intersection.
The stop signs have already been installed.
