JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Witnesses told Jonesboro police Wednesday night that a woman shot near a school was being chased by another car.

The shooting happened around 10:20 p.m. in the 1900-block of West Nettleton Avenue, according to a news release from Cpl. David McDaniel, public information officer for the police department. The location is near Annie Camp Junior High School.

The woman was driving east on Nettleton when someone shot at her vehicle. The car left the roadway and struck several parked vehicles at a nearby apartment building.

The driver suffered a minor injury to her arm. After receiving medical attention on the scene, she was taken to a local hospital.

Witnesses told officers another vehicle was following the woman's car, shooting at it.

Detectives collected several pieces of evidence from the scene.
