BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

Thunderstorm season brings with it a lot of damage to our cars, to our houses, and especially to our wallets.

An area business is doing what it can to lessen the burden.

Cleaning up and rebuilding after a storm can be expensive, especially when it comes to home damage.

So, Sierra Group and Associates Construction in Blytheville are trying to make it a little easier by offering free roof and attic inspections to Blytheville citizens.

Roofs that have seen damage or haven't had proper upkeep can cause other problems, such as high electricity bills and low pressure.

It can end up costing more in the long run.

Marcos Sierra, who is president of the company, said the inspection, which would normally run $100 to $150, can be just as preventative as it is reactive after storm damage.

“We are trained to spot damage where we can go up on a roof and say here's the storm damage whether its wind, hail or any kind of damage and that person or homeowner or property owner can be taken care of,” Sierra said. “A roof over your head is one of the most important things that one should have.”

Sierra said giving back to a community that has made his company grow so fast is important to him. Sierra wants to serve them in return.

If you have experienced storm damage to your home or just want to take advantage of the deal, you can contact Sierra Group and Associates Construction at 870-278-5356 or sgacontractors.com.
