JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - When a carload of kids threw fireworks at his vehicle last Wednesday, police say a Jonesboro man opened fire on them. Now, police say that shooting may be related to another shooting that same night in which a woman was injured.

Da'Quion Marke'l Box, 18, of Jonesboro appeared in court Monday for a probable cause hearing for first-degree terroristic threatening. His bond was set at $35,000.

According to a news release from the Jonesboro Police Department, while traveling in the 1900-block of West Nettleton on July 4, Box shot at a vehicle of juveniles who had thrown fireworks at the car he was driving.

At the time, the shooting was not reported to police.

In a separate interview with Box's mother, court documents state, she said her son "confessed to shooting the car that the juveniles were driving."

JPD now believes Mario Stafford shot Box's vehicle in retaliation for his shooting at the juveniles. A woman driving the car sustained a minor arm injury in that shooting.
