Piggott votes to keep sales tax for community hospital

PIGGOTT, AR (KAIT) - On Tuesday, residents in Piggott voted to determine whether or not to keep a sales tax dedicated to helping fund Piggott Community Hospital.

According to Karen Cagle, election coordinator, residents decided with a vote of 381-38 to keep the sales tax.

According to Mayor Jim Poole, the hospital helps provide over 200 jobs to the Piggott area.
