JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police cited a Jonesboro man with indecent exposure after they say they caught him masturbating in store parking lot.

Officers Nathan Ivy and Tyler Williams responded to a call at 6 p.m. Tuesday to the Caraway Plaza Shopping Center, 1225 S. Caraway, regarding a man in a light blue car “pleasuring himself.”

When Ivy arrived, he spotted 41-year-old Allen C. Reed sitting in a light blue Oldsmobile Cutlass in the parking lot.

As the officers walked around the car, Ivy stated he saw Reed sitting in the driver seat with his shorts down. The report stated Reed’s hand, which was at his mid-section, was making an “up and down” motion.

“When Reed observed me he attempted to quickly pull his shorts up,” Ivy stated.

When Reed stepped out of the car, the officer said “he had to pull up his shorts and button them so they would stay on.”

The officers placed Reed in handcuffs and asked him what he was doing.

According to the initial incident report, Reed said that he was “just changing clothes.”

However, after receiving consent to search his vehicle, Officer Ivy stated he did not find any shorts or pants inside the car that Reed could change into.

Reed was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center where he was cited with indecent exposure and left on a $650 surety bond.
