LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas could be in for another round of storm evacuees. Governor Huckabee says he's been informed by emergency officials to be prepared to take in Gulf refugees now housed in Texas if Tropical Storm Rita veers toward the Texas Gulf coast.
Huckabee says whether that happens will depend on the course of the storm now churning near the Florida Keys and threatening to strengthen into a hurricane. The governor says estimates of 50,000 Hurricane Katrina refugees being in the state may be close to accurate. He says emergency officials are lining up buses and other transportation in the event Gulf Coast evacuees now in Texas have to be moved.
