JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Northeast Arkansas Humane Society announced Thursday that Jill Cravens of Jonesboro will serve as its new executive director.
"I am thrilled and honored to join this organization," Cravens was quoted as saying in a news release. "I feel like I have truly found my calling. It is my goal to carry on the mission of the shelter which is to be an advocate for animals who are sick, injured or neglected."
Cravens, who spent the last 12 years as a licensed Realtor, recently served as program director for ShareHope Pregnancy and Infant Loss for the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation from 2009 to 2017.
She is married to Brooks Cravens of Jonesboro and has one son, Landon Crews.
NEAHS will host a grand re-opening of its shelter on Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. The public is invited to come and meet Cravens, along with NEAHS board members, staff, and volunteers.
