JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The HGTV show, "House Hunters", has tracked down a family in right here in Region 8.
Danna Johnson with Crye-Leike Realty helped show the Martins three homes here in Jonesboro, and the House Hunters crew was there to capture it all.
"It was a pretty neat experience." said Johnson, "I'm a huge fan of House Hunters and I watch it all the time, so I thought I knew exactly what was going to happen when we started filming. But filming was a much different process than I expected it to be."
Johnson said filming took much longer than she thought it would, taking 10 hours to film at just one house compared to the 30 minutes it usually takes for a buyer to look at a home.
The family that Johnson worked with has lived in Jonesboro before and decided to make it their permanent home.
"It was ASU that brought them here and a job that brought them back," said Johnson, "They have two little girls, who are precious, and they were looking for a place to raise their family in."
Johnson said she'd had received invitations to be on "House Hunters" before, but it requires a flexible schedule with the realtor and client.
She said she knew when she was working with the Martins that they would be a perfect fit to help introduce the House Hunters crew to the area.
"This is the first time that they have ever come to Jonesboro and filmed, so it was exciting to be able to share our community with them," Johnson said.
Since filming wrapped in January, all three houses have already been sold.
You can find out which home the Martins chose when the episode airs on HGTV September 4 at 9 p.m.
