GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - From current officers to law enforcement who have been retired for years, nearly 100 people gathered for the Greene County Law Enforcement Reunion Friday night.

Officers with Arkansas State Police, Paragould Police, Arkansas Game and Fish, Marmaduke police and Greene County Sheriff's Department came out for the second annual event.

And organizer Omer Overbay said it's important for officers to know how vast their support system really is.

"We'll have folks as far away as Florida and probably an 81-year-old retired state trooper here tonight," Overbay said.

Overbay said his favorite part of holding this reunion each year is watching officers who haven't seen each other in years get to catch up.
