70s & 80s Supergroups Headline Downtown Jonesboro Music Festival

SEPTEMBER 29, 2005 - Posted at 3:38 p.m. CDT

JONESBORO, AR - This year's Rockin' On The Ridge music festival in downtown Jonesboro will have a definite retro feel, as eighties supergroups Poco and Firefall will headline the one-day event.

Rockin' on the Ridge will take place on October 15.

Poco had several hits in the seventies and eighties, including "Crazy Love," which reached #1 on the Billboard charts in 1979.  Other Poco hits include "Heart of the Night" and "Call it Love."

Firefall enjoyed lots of radio airplay in the late seventies, including the former #1 hits "Just Remember I Love You" and "You Are The Woman."

Poco will take the stage at 7 p.m., followed by Firefall at 9.  Local groups will begin entertaining at 7 p.m.  Local bands include Further Down, No Quarter and Rhyme & Reason.

Rockin' on the Ridge will also feature other activities, including a Kid's Corner.  Concessions will also be available, as well as Rockin' on the Ridge collectible t-shirts.  There is no admission charge for the event, and lawn chairs are encouraged for concert-goers.

The event is co-sponsored by the Triple FM radio group and KAIT.
