LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas Public Service Commission is warning that natural gas utility customers will be paying higher prices this winter.
Gas wellhead prices are forecast to be 57 percent higher than last winter. That would translate to household bills being between ten to 26 percent higher than a year ago.
Natural gas prices are affected by supply, economic activity and weather. Hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico have disrupted supplies of natural gas.
The PSC recommends that homeowners take steps to lower their bills.
