LITTLE ROCK, AR - A second day testimony in the federal trial of a Lawrence County man accused of hiring someone to kill his estranged wife concluded this afternoon in Little Rock.

Stuart Wayne Reithemeyer of Walnut Ridge was indicted by a federal grand jury on six counts for allegedly hiring someone to travel from Missouri to Arkansas on April 28 to kill his wife, Elizabeth Mechelle Reithemeyer.

Prosecutors allege that Stuart Reithemeyer offered the person a Cadillace to carry out the crime.  The alleged scheme was foiled and Reithemeyer was arrested this spring.  The trial is expected to take three days.  Reithemeyer is being represented by Jonesboro criminal defense attorney Randal Miller, and his Little Rock partner, Leslie Borgognoni.

The case is being heard by U.S. District Court Judge Leon Holmes.

In April, Williams Baptist cross country runner Alex Van Herpen competed in the prestigious Boston Marathon. An incredible feat. Learning about his path to get there, it stopped me in my tracks. Five years ago Alex was bound to a wheelchair. in January of 2011, he was diagnosed with strep throat, the flu and mono all within a two week period. For five months Alex was bound to a wheel chair. One day he just got up and walked. Medical experts had no explanation for any of it.  ...
