MOUNTAIN HOME, AR - A Baxter County Quorum Court member hopes to bolster the county's budget by allowing restaurants to sell liquor on Sunday afternoons.
Gary Smith proposed the idea in a meeting last night. He says most of the new revenue would likely come from tourists during the summer months. Smith says retailers in his district have pushed for the change. He plans to put the motion before the full Quorum Court in December. If approved by the court, the issue would be sent to Baxter County voters sometime next year.
