JONESBORO, AR - A cold front is moving across Arkansas, bringing storms to some parts of the state. The rain comes after a long stretch of dry weather and just in time for Halloween.
A severe thunderstorm watch was posted for the southwestern portion of the state. A line of precipitation is moving from west to east, with the storms themselves moving northeast along the line.
The National Weather Service says thunderstorms will be on the increase as the front moves over the state and some locally heavy rain is possible. Overall, the weather service says rain totals will be less than one-tenth of an inch per hour.
