BATESVILLE, AR - A nursing home employee has been charged with stealing drugs for her personal use.  Independence County court records show that 40-year-old Angel Ann Carter of Batesville was charged with nine counts of stealing prescription drugs from the WoodLawn Nursing Home.  An affidavit says a nurse noticed that four doses of a drug were missing, and that only the nurse and Carter had access to the drugs.

The affidavit said Carter tested positive for use of the drug.

Drug logs and surveillance videos also incriminated Carter, according to the court records.

The court records said that, when confronted, Carter admitted to taking drugs from the facility.
