ROGERS-- Democrat Mike Beebe and Republican Asa Hutchinson discussed drugs, specifically Arkansas' methamphetamine problem, yesterday in Bentonville. Both men are vying to become thenext governor of the state.
Beebe touted an antimethamphetamine law that he supported which restricts the sale of cold medication used to make the drug. Hutchinson, who once headed the federal Drug EnforcementAdministration, said Arkansas law enforcement needs enhancement. Both Beebe and Hutchinson said they would like to expand the state's drug treatment courts.
