FOUKE--An Arkansas man has been electrocuted while working to repair home in southeastern Texas in the aftermath of Hurricane Rita.
Thirty-seven-year-old Ricky Whittington of Fouke died Tuesday while he repaired a building in Silsbee, Texas. Officials said he was in a large utility construction vehicle, or bucket truck, when
a high voltage power source struck him. Whittington was working for Texas-based Broadband Specialists Inc with three other linemen, none of whom were injured.
His death is under investigation by the Houston office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the local coroner. B-S-I said it is doing its own investigation and
encourages its employees to cooperate with authorities.
