JONESBORO, AR -- Your latest news and weather has always been a click away. But now, with a new webpage, kait8.com has a whole new look. Based on a 1,024 pixel width, there is more information available with less clutter.
"This has been an 18-month project with our liberty sister stations. We've all worked together as a collaborative project," said KAIT Internet Director David Rounds.
The website has around 70-80,000 unique visitors a month. If you've already seen the new kait8.com website, then you're not alone. In just one day last week, the webpage had more than 116,000 viewers, translating into more than 6-million hits.
Now you can find sections for Arkansas and Missouri news...along with a new place for Crimestoppers. And the same old favorites like the Birthday Club, Region 8 Recipes, Focus on Fitness and Region 8 showcase are all still there.
"Of course, we still have our top headlines and top stories at the top, but we've also added a special reporter round up page for all of our reporters in the field," said Rounds.
And with that, local news is just a click away.
"As you can see, it's kind of like moving into a new house, we're still unpacking and moving things around," said Rounds, "But we are very happy to be moving in this direction, we think it's a lot better platform for our stations website."
