JONESBORO, AR -- The Claudia Foundation of
“Linda Bloodworth Thomason who wrote and created “Designing Women” she started this foundation called The Claudia Foundation in 91,” said Claudia Foundation Director Stacey Million Kalich.
That organization gives away scholarships to girls looking to better themselves through education. This year founder Linda Bloodworth Thomason wanted to do something for the community for the holiday season. “She really wanted to showcase the house. It's a beautiful home and a lot of the people in the community haven’t even been here they don't know its here. This is actually her grandparents home she built onto it for the foundation,” said Kalich, “Dixie Carter played Julia Sugarbaker on her show and Linda called her up and said, ‘Would you help our foundation?’ so she's going to be here in Poplar Bluff on December third and she is going to do her cabaret act and it's going to be spectacular.”
To help get the house ready for the holidays the Claudia Foundation has the help of longtime friend and set designer Dwight Jackson, who is the mastermind behind the beautiful decorations in the home.
