Jonesboro, AR (July 11, 2005) – As the vice president of operations for a Fortune 500 company, Pete Harmon learned a thing or two about taking care of customers and running a multi-billion dollar operation. Now, Harmon is bringing that business knowledge to his very own Allstate Insurance agency by taking ownership of the office located at 2621 East Nettleton Avenue. Bart Mazzanti previously owned the Jonesboro agency, which is now called the Pete Harmon Allstate Insurance Agency.
"I am excited about opening my own business in Jonesboro," said Harmon. "My knowledge and understanding of the people in this community will help me provide customers with an outstanding level of service. I am looking forward to helping families insure and protect what they have today and better prepare for tomorrow."
The full-service agency will offer a complete line of products and services, including auto, property, commercial and life insurance, long-term care and annuities.
Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Evenings and weekends are available by appointment.
Harmon can be reached at (870) 931-6077 or by email at PeteHarmon@allstate.com.
Before coming to Allstate, Harmon worked as a financial advisor for Edward Jones. Prior to that, he was vice president of operations for Kmart , director of operations for Shoprite, regional manager for Hechinger, and district manager for Wal-Mart. He is a member of the Rotary Club, the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, and co-chairman of Ducks Unlimited Rice and Wings Chapter. Harmon is married to Mellanee, a personal fitness trainer in Jonesboro. They have one son, Tyler, who is 6-years old. The Harmon family is a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church.
