LITTLE ROCK, AR - Governor Huckabee has signed a proclamation declaring seven Arkansas counties as disaster areas, including two in Region 8.  This will allow residents and municipalities state and federal financial relief after a string of tornadoes struck the state late Sunday night.

The two Region 8 counties include Cleburne and Fulton counties.  The other counties are Garland, Perry, Pike and Van Buren.

Huckabee authorized $200,000 to be taken from the Governor's Disaster Fund and given to the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management in the seven counties.

Also yesterday, National Weather Service surveyors confirmed two more tornado tracks in Fulton, Izard and Sharp counties bringing the total twisters to have hit the state to 14.
