LITTLE ROCK (AP) _ A new poll in the 2006 Arkansas governor's race shows Democrat Mike Beebe with a slight lead over Republican Asa Hutchinson.
The poll taken for Little Rock television station KTHV by Survey USA shows Beebe leading Hutchinson 49 to 44%. The poll has a margin of error of ± 3.8 %.
Four percent surveyed favored ``other'' candidates and three percent were undecided.
Beebe is the state attorney general. Hutchinson is a former congressman and Bush administration official. The random telephone poll of 684 registered voters was conducted Saturday through Monday.
