TEXARKANA--Country music star Glen Campbell says his return trips to his home state of Arkansas have gotten fewer over the years. Campbell visits about once a year since his parents passed away.
The legendary musician makes his home in Malibu, California. But this Friday, he plans a visit to perform at the Perot Theatre in Texarkana. Campbell began entertaining in the Delight-Billstown area in Pike County. After World War Two, he'd play in pickin' sessions with his grandfather, father and uncles.
Campbell's most recent honor was membership into the Country Music Hall of Fame, an organization that has already awarded Campbell honors for his guitar playing and songwriting skills.
