Skeet Shoot Fires Off NEA Clinic Charitable Foundation

WEINER, AR -- Earlier Thursday afternoon the first event to kick off the NEA Clinic's Annual Duck Classic was held in Poinsett County.

“It’s a good way to bruise your shoulder, but yea, it's a good way to raise money for a needy cause,” laughed shooter Jon Wilbanks.

About 50 shooters showed up at the West Poinsett Gun Club outside of Weiner. And all were there to prove they could kill the little orange skeet, in the name of charity.

“We have several shooters that have obviously practiced a lot...and we have just some duck hunters that are out having a good time,” said NEA Clinic CEO Jim Boswell.

Whether its beginners luck or a sure shot...all these shells were for a good Region 8 cause....the NEA Clinic Charitable Foundation.

“I think they've donated millions of dollars back to the needy, who can't afford medicine or health care. And without a foundation like this, no telling what those people would do,” said Wilbanks.

Boswell said, “We've experienced a huge amount of support from the community, the businesses and farmers and everyone in the community.”
