What to see at the Movies this Holiday Season

December 18, 2005 -- Posted at 7:00 p.m. CST

PARAGOULD, AR -- Big blockbuster films always come out during the holidays, and this year is no exception.

“We have a great lineup of holiday movies.  We have ‘King Kong’ and, of course, we have ‘Walk the Line’,” said Bobby Wilson of the Paragould Cinema 8.

Audiences came out prepared to leave the world behind by entering the theatre.  “You smell the popcorn and you see the movies on the big screen,” said Oscar Tobar.

Many movie goers came to see “King Kong”, the latest Peter Jackson film.  According to critics it's an epic remake of the classic 1933 film.

“We've been looking forward to this for a long time, we really have, and we're looking forward to seeing it,” said Tommy Underwood.

But going to see a movie during the holidays is not just about seeing a new film, it’s also about spending time with your family.  “It's a time to miss your family a lot but I have four of us here so we're trying to make the best of that so that's why we're here too,” said Sherry Tobar.
