LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas gubernatorial candidate Asa Hutchinson said today the state Legislature will probably have to meet next year to address funding shortfalls in Arkansas' public school system.
Last week the state Supreme Court ordered the review.
Governor Huckabee has said he's not certain a special session would be required to meet the court's mandate that the state fix inadequacies in its public school funding. Attorney General Mike Beebe, Hutchinson's opponent and the top lawyer for the state in the school funding case, also said last week a special session would be needed.
