CRITTENDEN COUNTY, AR - Voters in Crittenden County will decide whether to raise their sales tax by a quarter of a cent to keep county government from running a deficit.
The increase would bring the county sales tax to two cents on the dollar. The current tax generates about nine-point-four million dollars per year, but the money is shared with municipalities.
The vote on the tax hike will be held during a regular election, possibly in november.
