Mix 106.7 FM is Putting You in the Christmas Spirit, at the Expense of their Sanity

December 23, 2005 --Posted at 1:00 p.m. CST

Jonesboro, AR -- This holiday season one radio station is trying to get you into the Christmas Spirit by playing non-stop Christmas Music. While we love to hear a little Jingle Bell Rock, or Frosty the Snowman, the DJ's at 106.7 have to listen to it all day. So are they tired of it, or does it get them ready for the Holiday Season?

We talked to Brett Hall at Triple FM to get an inside look. Dozens and Dozens of requests came in, some that would make you cry, and some that make you laugh. Our favorite, Feliz Navidad.

"You know, I'm kind of torn. I love Christmas music, but I don't know if I would like to hear it all day." Brett remembered we were rolling our cameras and said, "I mean I love it, I wish we could play it year-round!"

Brett says he is now a "Christmas Song Buff" and he can name any song, who wrote it, when it came out, and how long it plays. I challenged him, and told him, I could name that tune, but I only got one right out of five. It's harder than you think when the pressure's on.
