Former Clerks Visit Arkansas to Endorse Alito's Court Nomination

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Two of Judge Samuel Alito's former law clerks endorsed President Bush's Supreme Court pick in Little Rock this afternoon.

The Family Council Action Committee invited two of Alito's former clerks, David Moore and Jack White, to help kick off the group's ten-day tour of 36 Arkansas cities to urge Alito's nomination.

White said that Alito's belief is that the judiciary branch doesn't exist to legislate and that its role is to interpret laws.

As hearings on Alito's nominations approach, groups for and against the federal judge are targeting Arkansas Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, who are undecided on Alito.
