LITTLE ROCK, AR - A federal jury in Little Rock has convicted a former Craighead County jailer of two counts of depriving a person of their constitutional rights.

Jody Miller was accused of beating two handcuffed inmates in 2004 and covering up one of the attacks.  Jurors acquitted Miller on two other counts of making false statements.  Two other jailers had pleaded guilty and testified against Miller.

Miller could face a maximum of ten years in prison on each of the civil rights convictions.  He will be sentenced later.
